Bright Planning (2014-2020) was the first agency Catherine founded.

Starting solo, I offered two services during my first year: strategic marketing plans and copywriting.

The business owners I worked with loved their plans, but needed help implementing them. My agency grew year over year as I hired and mentored staff and contractors to help meet our clients’ goals, and we refined our agency focus on strategic planning, content marketing, and public relations for sustainably-focused brands in food, beverage, hospitality, and select retail.

With my background in publishing and writing, we also helped thought leaders achieve national media appearances and bring their books to market, garner awards and achieve bestseller status. When the agency closed at the end of December 2020, I rebranded remaining client work under Campbell Public Relations.

THE work:

As a boutique agency, I loved working in select client accounts and helping my staff grow to own other client projects. Below is a small sample of results we achieved.

  • Office furniture client: content marketing increased conversion rates to 23.5%, maintained top 10 Google spots for 50 competitive keywords, generated multiple six-figure leads

  • Boutique hotel client: increased social media engagement and positive reviews by 33% in less than 4 weeks, receiving an award from TripAdvisor & increased Google rankings

  • Thought leader client: book marketing campaign held #1 bestseller spot in its Amazon categories for 30 days, sold 6,000 copies in eight weeks, secured 15 media appearances & mentions, increased social media engagement by 10%

  • Restaurant client: brand awareness campaign earned positive dining review in city paper, PR event reached 275k audience online with 5,934 social engagements, sales increased & website visitors increased by 2k month over month

  • Restaurant client: new location opening event earned 7 media placements, 84k audience reach through social coverage
